Dortmund renew Piszczek contract until 2016

Borussia Dortmund have renewed the contract of Poland right back Lukasz Piszczek until 2016, the Bundesliga champions said on Tuesday.

Piszczek, 26, came to Dortmund in 2010 from Hertha Berlin on a three-year deal until 2013. He is the latest Dortmund player to commit himself to the club long-term, following Marcel Schmelzer, Mario Goetze, Mats Hummels and Kevin Grosskreutz.

"Borussia Dortmund are a great club, I am delighted to play for them over the next five years," said Piszczek, who was named "one of the top Bundesliga players on his position" by Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc.

Spain Roundup-Barca promote Cuenca to first team
