Spain will start their Euro title defence as the top ranked team in the football world while Germany and Portugal lost ground in the latest FIFA rankings issued on Wednesday.
The European and world champions Spain take 1,456 points into the June 8-July 1 tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
Uruguay moved into second place with 1,292 points at the expense of Germany, now third on 1,288.
The Netherlands, Brazil, England, Argentina, Croatia, Denmark and Portugal complete the top 10, with the Portuguese sliding down five places after modest results in their last tune-up games.
The co-hosts are the lowest-ranked Euro finalists with Ukraine 52nd and Poland 62nd in the FIFA list.
